COMMITTEE OF COUNCIL ON EDUCATION IN SCOTLAND, dated 23rd April 1896, amending the Terms of Article 10 (c) of the CODE for EVENING CONTINUATION SCHOOLS for 1896.

BY THE LORDS OF THE COMMITTEE OF HER MAJESTY'S MOST HONOURABLE PRIVY COUNCIL ON EDUCATION IN SCOTLAND.

Read:

Article 10 of the Code for, Evening Continuation Schools for 1896. Resolved:

That section (c) of that Article shall read as follows:

No time shall be counted, except with the special sanction of the Department, for any scholar in respect of the grant under Article 10 (6) on account of less than two or more than five subjects. But, in the case of a scholar who has satisfied the conditions of a grant for Drawing from the Science and Art Department, time may be counted on account of one subject.

SIR,
I AM directed to inform you that the grant for Agricultural
Education in Scotland has now been transferred to the Parliamentary
Vote for this Department, and that its administration will in future
devolve upon my Lords.

If it is desired to apply for a continuance of the grants hitherto paid to the institution which you represent, I am to request that you will be good enough to fill up and return to this Department one of each of the enclosed forms.
