WORKMEN'S COMPENSATION CASES: BEING REPORTS OF CASES DECIDED UNDER THE WORKMEN'S COMPENSATION ACT, 1897, PRINCIPALLY TAKEN FROM THE LAW TIMES REPORTS AND THE TIMES LAW REPORTS. VOLS. I., II. AND III., BOUND TOGETHER. EDITED BY R. M. MINTON-SENHOUSE, OF THE INNER TEMPLE AND OXFORD CIRCUIT, ESQUIRE, BARRISTER-AT-LAW, 66 AUTHOR OF ACCIDENTS TO WORKMEN," "THE CASE LAW OF THE WORKMEN'S LONDON WILLIAM CLOWES AND SONS, LIMITED, 7, FLEET STREET. 1902. To HIS HONOUR JUDGE STONOR, THE SENIOR JUDGE ON THE ENGLISH BENCH, THESE REPORTS ARE, WITH HIS PERMISSION, RESPECTFULLY DEDICATED. PREFACE. THE suggestion of publishing these Reports came from the learned judge to whom they are dedicated. He thought that the collected decisions of the Court of Appeal would be of great assistance to those who, under considerable disadvantage, have to interpret the Act in the first instance. The utility of having all the cases under the Act in one handy volume, with cross references and a copy of the Act at the end, must be unquestionable. The adoption of the excellent reports from the Times Law Reports and the Times has the advantage of being able to reproduce a greater number of the decisions in the Court of Appeal, and also a few of the more important County Court cases. Among these latter appear some that would not be available but for the courtesy of the proprietors of the Law Times. In framing the headnotes an attempt has, in some instances, been made to present the principle involved rather than the exact point of law upon the particular facts. Other Reports are referred to, and some editorial comments appear in the footnotes. It is proposed to cite these Reports as "W. C. C." |
