JOSEPH INTERPRETS PHARAOH'S DREAM.

Pharaoh said unto Joseph, "I have dreamed a dream, and there is none that can interpret it and I have heard say of thee, that thou canst understand a dream to interpret it." And Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, "It is not in me: God shall give Pharaoh an answer of peace."

Genesis xli. 15, 16.

MOSES IN THE ARK OF BULRUSHES.

And when she could not longer hide him, she took for him an ark of bulrushes, and daubed it with' slime and with pitch, and put the child therein; and she laid it in the flags by the river's brink. And his sister stood afar off, to wit what would be done to him.

MOSES AND THE BURNING BUSH.

The angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed. . . . And God said, "Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground."

God is a Spirit, great in might,

Most holy, just, and true;

He dwells in heaven, above our sight,

And He can all things do.

Exodus iii.

Great God! Thy face we cannot see,

Thou reignest far above;

Yet may we ever think of Thee.

With reverence and with love.

And afterward Moses and Aaron went in, and told Pharaoh, "Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Let my people go, that they may hold a feast unto me in the wilderness." And Pharaoh said, "Who is the Lord, that I should obey his voice to let Israel go? I know not the Lord, neither will I let Israel go."

THE ISRAELITES GATHERING MANNA.

And Moses said unto them, "This is the bread which the Lord hath given you to eat. This is the thing which the Lord hath commanded, Gather of it every man according to his eating." And the children of Israel did So, and gathered, some more, some less. And when they did mete it with an omer, he that gathered much had nothing over, and he that gathered little had no lack. Exodus xvi. 11-35.

With mercy from above:
