S. 59. LORD, does not the Bloud of Jefus cry now as loud in thine ears as ever? Haft Thou not made Him a Prieft after the Power of an endless life? Then I humbly crave that a poor finner which has nothing to offer Thee, may be accepted by that offering. Then let me live by his Life; let me know that Thou art well pleas'd with finners thro' Him; let me know, that I have found favor in thine eyes. Let all the Prayers that I have now made be graciously accepted. Remember all my Offerings, and accept of my Sacrifices of Prayers and Praifes: yea, remember his Bloud, when I do not actually Remember it; and when I'm filent, and don't pray, let that prevail for Bleffings upon me; and fince He lives, let me live alfo ; fince Thou haft heard Him hear me alfo; for his fake fend me help out of thy Sanctuary, and strengthen me out of Sion; grant me my heart's defire, and fulfill all my petitions; fave Lord,let the Kinghear me when I call. Amen. $. 60. Relating to both kinds. MAY this Bleffed Sacrament I have now receiv'd (tho much unworthy of fo great a mercy) feal to my Soul both pardon and peace, that now, being made whole, I may fin no more. Grant, holy fefus, that as I have now receiv'd in Faith thy precious Body and Bloud, veil'd under the fpecies of Bread and Wine, I may hereafter behold thy blessed Face unveil'd in Heaven, with thy holy Angels and Saints in their Manfions of Blifs, where they are fatisfied with the fulness of the most ravishing Delights in the beatifical Vifion of the thrice Bleffed Trinity, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, of of whom, and thro' whom, and in whom are all things, and to whom be all Honor, Praise, and Glory for ever and ever. IF any more time before all have receiv'd, and any of the former Devotions of this Chapter omitted, I may properly use 'em here: or elfe joyn with the Minifter for the others, Jaying, The Bloud of our Lord Jesus Christ, which was shed for you, preferve your bodics and fouls unto everlafting life. Or read part of the next Chapter. §. 62. ¶ WHER all havé communicated, the Minifter shall return to the Lord's Table, and reverently place upon it what remaineth of the Confecrated Elements, covering the fame with a fair linen cloth. §. 63. ¶ Then shall the Priest say the Lord's Prayer,the People repeating after him every Petition. DUA Father, which art in heaven, Hal lowed be thy Name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our tres paffes, as we forgive them that trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil : For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, For ever and ever. Amen. §. 64. ¶ After shall be faid as followeth. Lord and heavenly Father, we thy humble fervants intirely defire thy Fatherly goodness, mercifully to accept this our Sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving; most humbly befeeching Thee to grant that by the merits and death of thy Son Jesus Chrift, and through faith in his bloud, we and all thy whole Church may obtain remiffion of our I 3 fins : fins, and all other benefits of his paffion. And ALMIGHTY and everlasting God, we mft heartily thank Thee, for that Thou doft vo ichfafe to feed us, who have duly received thefe holy Myfteries, with the fpiritual food of the most precious Body and Bloud of thy Son our Savior Iefus Chrift; and doft affure us thereby of thy favor and goodness towards us; and that we are very members incorporate in the mystical Body of thy Son, which is the bleffed company of all faithful people; and are alfo heirs through hope of thy everlasting Kingdom, by the merits of the most precious death and paffion of thy dear Son. And we most humbly befeech Thee, O heavenly Father, fo to affift us with thy grace, that we may continue in that holy fellowship, and do all fuch good works as thou haft prepared for us to walk in,through Iefus Christ our Lord, to whom whom with Thee and the Holy Ghoft, be all honor and glory world without end. Amen. §. 66. ¶ Then shall be faid or fung. GLORY be to God on high, and in earth peace, good will towards men. We praife Thee, we blefsThee, we worshipThee,we glorifieThee,' we give thanks to Thee for thy great glory, O Lord God, heavenly King, God the Father Almighty. Lord, the only begotten Son Iefus Chrift; O Lord God, Lamb of God, Son of the Father, that takeft away the fins of the world, have mercy upon us. Thou that takeft away the fins of the world, have mercy upon us. Thou that takest # away the fins of the world, receive our prayer. Thou that fitteft at the right hand of God the Father; have mercy upon us. fo Thou only art holy. Thou only art the Lord, Thou only, O Chrift, with the Holy Ghoft, art most high in the glory of God the L Father. Amen. ASSIST us mercifully, O Lord, in these our fupplications and prayers, and difpofe the way of thy fervants towards the attainment of everlasting falvation; that among all the changes and chances of this mortal life, they may ever be defended by thy moft gracious and ready help, through Iefus Christ our Lord. Almighty Lord and everlasting God, vouchsafe, we beseech Thee, to direct, fanctify, and govern both our hearts and bodies in the ways of thy laws, and in the works of thy commandments, that through thy moft mighty protection, both here and ever, we may be preferved in body and foul, through our Lord and Savior Iefus Chrift. QKANT, we beseech Thee, Almighty God, that the words which we have heard this day with our outward ears, may through thy grace be fo grafted inwardly in our hearts, that they may bring forth in us the fruit of good living, to the honor and praife of thy Name,through Iefus Christ our Lord. PREVENT us, O Lord, in all our doings, with thy moft gracious favor, and further vs with thy continual help, that in all our works begun, continued, and ended in Thee, we may glorify thy holy Name, and finally by thy mercy obtain everlaftiug life, through Iefus Chift our Lord. ALMIGHTP God, the fountain of all wisdom, who knoweft our neceffities before we ask, and our ignorance in asking; We befeech Thee to have compaffion upon our infirmities; and those things which for our unworthiness we dare not, and for our blindness we cannot ask, vouchsafe to give us for the worthiness of thy Son Iefus Christ our Lord. ALMISHTE God, who hast promised to hear the Petitions of them that ask in thy Son's Name; We befeech Thee merci fully to incline thine ears to us that have made now our prayers and fupplications unto Thee, and grant that those things which we have faith fully |
