The Family having met together, let the Master of the House begin the Morning Prayer by reading the following Sentences from Scripture. Remember the Sabbath Day to keep it holy. Hallow my Sabbaths, and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I am the Lord your God. This is the Day which the Lord hath made, we will rejoice and be glad in it. We will come before his presence with thanksgiving, and enter into his courts with praise. We will lift up our hands in the sanctuary and will bless the Lord.
