What marvelous diversity! No two blades of grass, leaves, twigs, hairs, pebbles, grains of sand, voices, or people exactly alike; —each one has an identity. No two mortal personalities are exactly, precisely and wholly in the same stage of thought and state of consciousness.

While we do not indorse the entirety of all the extracts and quotations which appear in this book, and we doubtless may have to contradict some of our own statements, through further progress and higher thought, in the understanding of TRUTH; and while we are also certainly far from claiming for all that here is recorded, infallibility, divine inspiration, Scientific fact, or absolute conclusions; on the contrary, we think all that any mortal of today knows of absolute RIGHT or DIVINE SCIENCE, is comparatively little. While this is so, yet, owing to the marvelous differentiality and differentiation which appear to be, perhaps all that is recorded betwen the boards of this book, may prove helpful to the thought of some one, either in the lowest, intermediate, or higher state and stage of consciousWe trust all is designed, or at least intended, to help some needy one to an upward trend of thought and experience towards the demonstration of PERFECT CHARACTER.-The drift and trend of the diversified contents of this book, containing extracts from a few of the most ancient, medieval and modern writers, is also designed to divert the inordinate attention of its students from many gods, teachers, leaders, books, founders, and discoverers; and to direct their thought to the ONE and only real GoD, who is the universal and eternal GOOD, and is the ever-present SAVIOUR, TEACHER, LEADER, and FOUNDER of all that is GOOD. There are very many methods today employed for healing of the sick, and all appear to be more or less successful in so doing; and doubtless thousands, if not millions, could testify to the benefits received, through the instrumentality of some, if not all, of these healing practices. But the best of all

methods is that of JESUS of Nazareth, which is not fully practised today, so far as we know. The CHRIST JESUS method of healing the sick, is different and distinguished from all other healing practices, because it is not only without materia medica, or treatment, and is instantaneous cure; but it has also the unequaled advantage of never failing to perfectly heal and restore. This is the healing we are endeavoring to direct our thought and the thought of others to. It is infinitely in advance of any other healing practised today, for each and all others meet with deplorable failures.

When the CHRIST JESUS method is again restored, it is so widely and distinctly different, and instant in its unfailing benefits, and hence so much in advance of any of the healing remedies already adopted, that its restoration will be so remarkable and distinct that its advent will be known all over the world in a few days, if not in a few hours.

Dear reader or student, perceive for yourself that the most blessed POSSIBILITIES belong to you, and are most ACCESSIBLE to you, without becoming a victim of any of the money-making schemes practised in the name of Christianity,-schemes which lead you to buy expensive books, or to pay out large or small sums of money for tuition in learning how to heal the sick and the sinner; of learning, with the attractive bait advertised, of how to make your "comfortable fortune," as the students of a certain school are said by their so-called teacher and leader to have done. "Now, Christian Scientists are not indigent; and their comfortable fortunes are acquired by healing mankind morally, physically, spiritually."

No doubt thousands will testify how grateful they are for such tuition and books referred to, as thousands do for the healing benefits received by the use of pink pills, so extensively advertised with such marvelous healing results. The same may also be said of legions of other so-called healing remedies and methods. But it is not necessary to buy these instructions and costly books, because a better, and the most excellent way is available to those who are trustful and trustworthy, and willing to accept the truth free and pure. The NEW TESTAMENT is the most valuable of all books for this purpose, and

can be obtained for five cents and upwards. Hence the most valuable book obtainable is the most ACCESSIBLE.

GOD, ever present, is the only real TEACHER, and He is infallible and makes no mistakes; His teaching is absolute unadulterated truth, and is free without money and price. With the BIBLE your text-book and GOD your TEACHER, you have the best text-book and the best TEACHER Obtainable by any one.

Electricity is not new, "there is nothing new under the sun, but the people on this planet have only recently found out how to utilize and apply it. So with the OLD and NEW TESTAMENT, truth is eternal, and we must know how to utilize and apply the truth told in the BIBLE. "Know the truth, and the truth shall make you free;" the truth essential to know is fully stated in the NEW TESTAMENT, and was practically taught and demonstrated by JESUS, for the benefit of all concerned.

GOOD THOUGHTS, like words or numerals, belong to all alike. Numerals are all ours to use in the solution of our mathematical problems. Good words are all ours, to use in the solution of our life problem. Good thoughts are good thinks or good things, and are all ours, just as soon as they come to us, and we accept, entertain and digest, or are conscious of them. They are ours absolutely, and irrespective of any channel, instrument, vehicle, mortal person, or scribe, who may pretend to claim a monopoly of them as a discoverer; but which, however, they have only derived; and to which they have no more right than others have. Be sure that good thoughts are yours, all of them; yours to use audibly or silently; to unselfishly diffuse that they may pass on and vibrate, in order to uplift the dear people to higher and better thoughts, conditions and experiences. Thank God, no copyright law can prevent or hinder the proper use of numerals, good words, or good thoughts. They can be used rightly without any violation of the copyright law, which may be a good law; but its abuse is wrong. It is sometimes misused, as are other good laws, for unholy and selfish money-making tricks and schemes, which is error-a mistake. Don't be afraid of copyright law, though magnified to seem to be more than it is by cunning selfishness, which would frighten and

deter you from claiming your inalienable right, to the proper use of good words and good thoughts, to promote yourself and others in good works. You cannot steal truth; it is all yours.

PROGRESS is an eternal process, and love for Truth is the mainspring of our action, the motive power, which prompts us at intervals in the course of our writing to uncover certain seeming error or mistakes, which are adroitly perpetuated in the name of Christianity. We have an earnest desire that all the dear people, who have a right to all that justly belongs to them, should know how to reach and enjoy its accessibility, freely and fully. Our identification is with God and mankind universally. GOD'S LOVE is all-embracing. He has no favorites. All good belongs to all the dear people, and is absolutely free to all; the bad, so-called, is an insane illusion, none should want it, and those are fools who buy and pay for it. Certain man-made laws of carnal or mortal mind, tend to favor a few to get rich, and the many to be poor. But this is contrary to GOD'S LAW of absolute RIGHT.

All mortal history, whether individual or collective, is a dream. Some dreams are intense, harmonious, beautiful, and others are trashy, discordant, hideous. The mortal history of JESUS is one we most admire, because of his manifestation of the DIVINE CHARACTER. The mortal history of Paul, and of very many others, both of remote and recent date, we much admire. The mortal history of Mrs. Mary Baker G. Eddy we reluctantly confess is one we cannot much admire, either before or since she wrote Science and Health, and especially since, because of her lack in the manifestation of divine character. It seems to come far short of a model history. Mrs. Eddy's assumed authority; her mesmeric and hypnotic practices; her money-making proclivities at the expense of others; her selfproclaimed unselfishness and self-praise; her triple marriage, her one divorce, and the death of her three husbands; the birth of one child only, and this one lost in childhood, and not seen or found again by her for many years; her almost unheard of egotism and audacity; her inordinate efforts to have her own name advertised by her followers, lecturers, literature, church services, etc., etc.-these things combine to form an offensive
