STATEMENT ON EMPLOYMENT OFFICE

Richard H. Lansburgh, Secretary of Labor and Industry, announced August 1st, a Cooperative State Employment Office at Altoona, will formally be opened for the transaction of official business.

This office is the result of a cooperative arrangement between the United States Post Office, Altoona, and the Bureau of Employment, Department of Labor and Industry, whereby a Cooperative State Employment Office in cooperation also with the United States Employment Service, United States Department of Labor, Washington, may be conducted.

The office will be located on the second floor of the Post Office Building, Altoona, and will be under the supervision and direction of J. D. Coates, Superintendent, and of Mrs. Paul Kienzle, placement clerk for women.

The district which this office is designed to serve includes Blair, Huntingdon and Centre Counties.

Secretary Lansburgh also announced that this Cooperative State Employment Office is neutral in every respect and is established for the service of all employers needing employes and of all working persons needing employment.
