the excellent Liturgy of the Church. The Hall was completely crowded. The collection after the meeting amounted to upwards of 56 pounds. Fire at Sheffield.-May 26, about three o'clock in the morning, the table-knife manufactory of Mr. Harrison, at Sheafbridge, in Sheffield, was discovered to be in flames, and before the engines arrived was reduced to a mere skeleton. The fire, continued its ravages on the adjoining workshop of Mr. Hague, button manufacturer, till the wood-work of both houses was nearly consumed ; by the perseverance of the fire-men, however, and the ready supply of water furnished by the adjacen stream, the flames were subdued in time to preserve the ground floor and part of the timber at Mr. Hague's. The fire is supposed to have proceeded from a stove in Mr. Harrison's manufactory, as it was remarked that the partition-wall of the two houses had contracted great heat from it on the preceding night. The premises, we understand, were not insured. Early the same morning the Leeds mailcoach was upset, coming down the Bridgehouses hill, on its way to Sheffield, by the pole and splinter bar breaking. The guard was a little bruised, but no serious injury was sustained by any of the passengers. Monthly Register. MARRIAGES. THE marriage of H. R.
