In concluding our review, we must observe, that the very able author of Medical Extracts has rendered an important fervice to the profession, and mankind in general, by bringing into a more connected point of view, and af. fording a more clear and fatisfactory detail of the numerous facts, and reafonings which form the bafis of the prefent improved ftate of medical fcience. We can fafely recommend this work to parents and mafters, particularly to thofe clergymen whofe parishioners are at fome diftance from medical affiftance. The defcriptions are clear and appropriate; the directions fimple and judicious, for the early management of difeafe before farther aid can be procured, as well as for the conduct of nurses and attendants, through the whole courfe of different diforders. Critical Review. We have perufed the above work with uncommon satisfaction, with the defign, as well as with the manner in which it is executed.
