DEDICATE this little work to you,

Sir Morton, not on account of any pretensions it has to your special notice, but because of the deep interest you are known to take in the subject on which it treats— the Ministry of the everlasting Gospel.

You have proved this, by the promptitude and liberality with which you have taken the lead in the erection of several places of worship for the efficient ministra tion of divine truth, now happily supplied

with such a ministry; and by assisting in the provision for carrying on the education of young men, devoted to the sacred office.

It was my happiness to be early associated with one of like spirit-the late Thomas Wilson, Esq., Treasurer of Highbury College; and to witness the numerous instances of his usefulness in this career throughout the country. It is, therefore, with no small gratification that I behold you manifesting the same zeal on behalf of the Christian Ministry, and carrying forward the same great cause in connexion with another body of Evangelic Christians.

It is my most earnest desire and prayer, in which I doubt not you will join me, that others may emulate the example thus set before them, till similar places of worship
