CHAPTER II. GENERAL TABLE-PRODUCTION BY HAND AND MACHINE METHODS. [NOTE. The columns "time worked" and "labor cost," as given in this table, show the time worked on each operation necessary to the production of the unit and the labor cost of the same. The form of the table does not admit of a total of the time worked on all of the operations pertaining to the unit and the consequent labor cost, but such totals for. the whole unit may be found in the summary table given on pages 24 to 79 of Volume I of this report.
