THE HELPFUL THOUGHT

The soul that dares to take the prerogative of its own feebleness and cry aloud, "Come to me, O Christ, for I need Thee," finds itself justified. Its bold and humble cry is honored and instantly answered, instantly by its side the answer comes: Great is thy Faith; be it unto thee even as thou wilt; What wilt thou that I should do unto thee?

-I Cor. 3: 10.

THE HELPFUL THOUGHT

With the strong hand of Faith lay hold of the Savior, till He perfect His strength in your weakness. It is indeed often difficult to believe all is for the best; but if we cannot read all of God's dispensations Faith and hope are written in the most legible charac- Unknown.

God.

I have declared Thy

3 Faithfulness and Thy salvation.

—Psa. 40: 10.

THE HELPFUL THOUGHT

Be not content with merely living; desire to live fruitfully, joyfully, with an ever-enlarging experience of the life-giving power of Jesus. Be much with Jesus, hold fast to His guiding hand, bear the daily cross with patience, be Faithful in duty, and Jesus shall, by and by, give you a crown of life which fadeth not away. - Unknown.

Better not pray until you are in real serious need of a thing, better not pray unless and until your whole being responds to the efficacy of your supplication. When the true prayer is breathed, earth and heaven, the past and the future, say Amen.

-P. C. Moyoumdar.

-1 Tim. 2: 13.

THE HELPFUL THOUGHT

Always it is the surrounding of the doctrinal Faith by the personal Faith that keeps. the joy of the doctrinal Faith safe

Of knowledge and Faith it is supremely true, as Jesus promised, that when He comes to a thinker and believer, that thinker and believer's joy is full, it is a joy which no man taketh from him. -Phillips Brooks.

And the Lord said, Who then is that Faithful and wise steward, whom his Lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season? Blessed is that servant whom his Lord, when He cometh shall find so doing.

-Luke 12: 42, 43.

THE HELPFUL THOUGHT

Little Faithfulnesses are not only the preparation for great ones, but little Faithfulnesses are in themselves the

essential fidelity of the

great ones.

The

heart is the same

whether it be exercised in the mites or in a royal treasury: the genuine Faithfulness of the life is equally beautiful whether it be displayed in governing an empire or in writing an exercise. -F. W. Farrar.
