Mimer drank water from his well out of a horn, whence the popular superstition that a cup is to be found at the end of the rainbow.

Skadi-The wife of Niörd.

Skadi signifies, "the hurtful.”

Her habitation was Thrymheim, "noise-home." Skidbladnir-Name of Frey's ship. The English word "blade," or "leaf," comes from Bladnir.
