THEREAS it is expedient that not only the Bed and Bedding of Debtors should be exempt from being seized and sold in execution of Judgments,

II. Et qu'il soit de plus statué par l'autorité susdite, que les personnes sous la direction et surintendance desquelles l'argent approprié par le présent Acte sera employé et dépensé, mettront devant les Branches de la Législature dans le cours de quinze jours, à compter du jour de l'ouverture de la prochaine Session d'icelle, un état général et détaillé de la manière dont tel argent aura été employé et dépensé.

III. Et qu'il soit de plus statué par l'autorité susdite, qu'il sera rendu compte à Sa Majesté, Ses Héritiers et Successeurs de la due application de l'argent affecpar cet Acte, par la voie des Lords Commissaires de la Trésorerie de Sa Majesté, pour le tems d'alors, en telles manière et forme qu'il plaira à Sa Majesté, Ses Héritiers et Successeurs l'ordonner.

AN ACT to revive and further to continue, for a limited time, and to amend a certain Act passed in the fifth year of His Majesty's Reign, relating to Houses of Correction in the several Districts of this Province.

HEREAS it is expedient to revive and further to continue for a limited time, and to amend a certain Act passed in the fifth year of His Majesty's Reign, intituled, "An Act still further to continue for a limited time cer"tain Acts therein-mentioned relating to Houses of Correction in the several Districts of this Province," the duration of which was limited to the first day of May one thousand eight hundred and twenty-seven ;-Be it therefore enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Assembly of the Province of Lower-Canada, constituted and assembled by virtue of and under the authority of an Act passed in

HEREAS it is necessary to facilitate the administration of Justice in the District of Montreal, in consequence of the vast number of causes by which the Court of King's Bench for the District is overburdened in the Superior Terms thereof; Be it therefore enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Assembly of the Province of Lower-Canada, constituted and assembled by virtue of and under the authority of an Act passed in the Parliament of Great-Britain, intituled, "An Act to repeal certain parts of an Act passed in the fourteenth year of his Majesty's Reign, intituled," An Act for making more effectual pro" vision for the Government of the Province of Quebec, in North America," and to
