E, Your Majesty's most dutiful and loyal subjects, the Commons of Lower-Canada, in Provincial Parliament assembled, having taken into consideration the petition of Pierre Bedard, Esquire, Provincial Judge for the District of Three-Rivers, presented to the three Branches of the Legislature during the present Session of the Provincial Parliament, and having resolved to grant Your Majesty the sum of four hundred pounds, sterling, annually, to enable Your Majesty to pay a pension to the said Pierre Bedard, during his life, in the event of his being obliged, by ill health, to resign his office as Provincial Judge of the District of Three-Rivers aforesaid; Most humbly beseech Your Majesty, that it may be enacted and be it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Assembly of the Province of Lower-Canada, constituted and assembled by virtue of and under the authority of an Act passed in the Parliament of Great Britain, intituled, "An Act to repeal certain parts of an Act passed in the "fourteenth year of His Majesty's Reign, intituled, "An Act for making more effectual provision for the Government of the Province of Quebec in North AmeA Pension" rica," and for making further provision for the Government of the said ProSing granted "vince;" And it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, that out of the unappropriated monies that now are in or may hereafter come into the hands of the Receiver General of the Province, there shall be annually paid by a Warrant or Warrants, under the hand of the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, or person administering the Government of this Province, the sum of four hundred pounds, sterling, as a Pension, to the said Pierre Bedard, during his natural life in the event of his being obliged, by ill health, to resign his office as Provincial Judge for the District of Three-Rivers.
