EASTER-DAY, on which the rest depen1, is always the First Sunday after the Full Moon, which happens upon or next after the Twenty-first Day of March; and if the Full Moon happen upon a Sunday, Easter-Day is the Sunday after. The three Rogation-Days, being the Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday before Holy Thursday, or the Ascension of our Lord. IV. All the Fridays in the Year, except Christmas-Day. In addition to the above, the first Thursday in November (or, if any other day be appointed by the Civil Authority, then such day) shall be observed as a Day of Thanks giving to Almighty God, for the Fruits of the Earth, and all other Blessings of his merciful Providence. |
