'Twas He Who found me on the deathly wild, O great Absolver, grant my soul may wear Yea, Thou wilt answer for me, righteous Lord; Mine the life won, and Thine the life laid down. ESU, lover of my soul, Let me to Thy bosom fly, Safe into the haven guide, Oh, receive my soul at last! Other refuge have I none, Hangs my helpless soul on Thee; With the shadow of Thy wing. Plenteous grace with Thee is found, R OOCK of ages, cleft for me, Let me hide myself in Thee; Let the water and the blood, Save from wrath, and make me pure.
