Such as have the imperfect tense and per fect participle different; as, Many verbs become irregular by contrac tion; as feed, fed; leave, left: others by the termination en; as, fall, fell, fallen; others change some of the letters and terminate in ght; as, buy, bought; teach, taught, &c.
