MEDIOLANI, 1474. VOL. II. A COLLATION WITH OTHER EDITIONS PRINTED BEFORE 1570, BY ROBERT LIPPE, LL.D., Chaplain of the Royal Asylum and Royal Infirmary at Aberdeen. INDICES BY H. A. WILSON, M.A., London, PREFATORY NOTE TO TO THE SECOND VOLUME. IN this second volume, an attempt has been made to collate the text of the first volume with a certain number of printed editions of the Roman Missal, issued before the appearance in 1570 of the reformed text of Pius V. Further, to assist the student in forming a judgment how much or how little was altered in the Pian text, a collation of a Pian edition, the symbol of which is P74, has been made as far as the Proprium Sanctorum. A hand-list of the editions collated is now given, with the symbols used in collation. EDITIONS OF THE ROMAN MISSAL USED IN THE FOLLOWING NOTES AND APPENDIX, WITH OWNERS' NAMES AND SYMBOLS OF CITATION. |
