Memoir and Remains of the Rev. Robert Murray M'Cheyne, Minister of St Peter's Church, Dundee. Abridged from the larger work. Crown 8vo. Pp. viii. 151. Edinburgh: Wm. Oliphant & Co. 1865.

It is superfluous in us to commend a book that has become one of our Christian household classics. It may be enough to say, that this small volume contains the cream of the larger work, and is just such a book as may be put into the hands of those who, in this busy age, have no time for reading many pages, but are yet desirous to make or to renew acquaintance with the gifted and saintly M'Cheyne.
