4 To devise cunning works, to work in gold, arid in silver, and in brass,

5 And in cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of timber, to work in all manner of workmanship.

6 And I, behold, I have given with him Aholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan: and in the hearts of all that are wisehearted I have put wisdom, that they may make all that I have commanded thee;

7 The tabernacle of the congregation, and the ark of the testimony, and the mercy seat that is thereupon, and all the furniture of the tabernacle,

8 And the table and his furniture, and the pure candlestick with all his furniture, and the altar of incense,

9 And the altar of burnt offering with all his furniture, and the laver and his foot,

Io And the cloths of service, and the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, to minister in tiie priest's office,

Ii And the anointing oil, and sweet incense for the ho\y place: according to all that I have commanded thee shall they do.

12 fl And the Lor D spake unto Moses, saying,

13 Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbatlis ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the Lord that doth sanctify you.

14. Ye mail keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it (hall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul (hall be cut oft' from among his people.

15 Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the Lord: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he lhall surely be put to death.

16 Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.

17 It is a sign between me arid the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refrestved.

18 % And he gave unto Moses, when be had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finder of God.

CHAP. XXXII.

AND when the people saw that Moiei delayed to come down out of tin mount, the people gathered themielve together unto Akron, and said unto him Up, make us gods, which lliall go befori us; for as for this Moses, the man tha brought us up out of the land of Egypt we wot not what is become of him.

2 And Aaron said unto them, BreaJ off the golden earrings which are in th. ears of your wives, of your sons, and o your daughters, and bring them unto me

3 And all the people brake off th' golden earrings which ivere in thei ears, and brought them unto Aaron.

4 And he received them at their hand and falhioned it with a graving tool after he had made it a molten calf: ant they said, These be thy gods, O Israel which brought thee up out of the lant of Egypt.

5 And when Aaron saw it, he buil an altar before it; and Aaron mad proclamation, and said, To morrow 1 a feast to the Lord.

6 And they rose up early on the mor row, and offered burnt offerings, am brought peace offerings; and the peopl fat down to eat and to drink, and rol up to play.

7 And the Lord said unto Moses, Go get thee down: for thy people, whicl thou broughtest out of the land o Egypt, have corrupted themselves.

8 They have turned aside quickly ou of the way which I commanded them they have made them a molten calf, an< have worshipped it, and have sacrifices thereunto, and said, These be thy gods O Israel, which have brought thee u] out of the land of Egypt.

9 And the Lord said unto Moses, have seen this people, and, behold, it < a ftiffnecked people:

10 Now therefore let me alone, tha my wrath may wax hot against them and that I may consume them: and will make of thee a great nation.

11 And Moses besought the Lo R I his God, and said, Lor D, why doth tlv wrath wax hot against thy people, whici thou hast brought forth out of the lan< of Egypt, with great power, and witl a mighty hand?

28 And the children of Levi did according to the word of Moses : and there fell of the people that day about three thousand men.

29 For Moses had said, Consecrate yourselves to day to the Lord, even every man upon his son, and upon his brother 5 that he may bestow upon you a blessing this day.

30 fj And it came to pass on the morrow, that Moses (hid unto the people, Ye have sinned a great sin: and now I will go up unto the Lor D; peradventure I lhall make an atonement for your sin.

31 And Moses returned unto the Lo R D , and (aid, Oh, this people have sinned a great tin, and have made them gods of gold.

32 Vet now, if thou wilt, forgive their iin—; and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou haft written.

33 And the Lord said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book.

34 Therefore now go, lead the people •arxtothe place of which I have spoken unto thee: behold, mine Angel shall go before thee: nevertheless in the day when I visit, I will visit their sin upon them.

AN D the Lord said Onto Moses, Depart, and go up hence, thou and the people which thou haft brought up out of the land of Egypt, unto the land which I sware unto Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, Unto thy seed will I give it:

1 And I will send an angel before thee; and I will drive out the Canaanitc, the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, the Hivite, arid the Jebusite:

3 Unto a land flowing with milk and honey: for I will not go up in the midst of thee; for thou art a ftiftnecked people: lest I consume thee in the way.

8 And it came to pass, when Moses went out unto the tabernacle, that all the people rose up, and stood every man at his tent door, and looked after Moses, until he was gone into the tabernacle.

9 ^f And it came to pass, as Moses entered into the tabernacle, the cloudy pillar descended, and stood at the door of the tabernacle, and the LORD talked with Moses.

Io And all the people saw the cloudy pillar stand at the tabernacle door: and all the people role up and worshipped, every man in his tent door.

Ii And the Lord spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Jolhua, the ion of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle.

11 C And Moses said unto the Lo R D , See, thou sayest unto me, Bring up this people: and thou hast not let me know whom thou wilt fend with me. Yet thou hast said, I know thee by name, and tbou hast also found grace in my fight.

13 Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy fight, (hew me now thy way that I may know thee, that I may'find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people.

14 And he said, My presence (hall go n^i:h thee, and I will give thee rest.

15 And he said unto him, If thy presence go not 'with me, carry us not up hence.

16 For wherein ihall it be known here, that I and thy people have found grace in thy fight? if it not in that thou goest with us? so (hall we be separated, I smd thy people, from all the people that are upon die face of the cartli.

17 And the Lord said unto Moles, will do this thing also that thou ha spoken : for thou halt found grace in m sight, and I know thee by name.

CHAP. XXXIV.

1 The tables are renewed. 5 The name 1 the LORD proclaimed. 10 God makel a covenant ivith them.

AND the Lord said unto Mose: Hew thee two tables of stone lik unto the first: and I will write upo these tables the words that were in th first tables, which thou brakest.

x And be ready in the morning, an come up in the morning unto moui Sinai, and present thyself there to m in the top of the mount,

3 And no man ihall come up with the< neither let any man be seen thraughoi all the mount: neither let the flocks nt herds feed before that mount.

25 And all the women that were wife hearted did spin with their hands, and brought that which they had spun, both of blue, and os purple, and of scarlet, and of tine linen.

26 And all the women whose heart stirred them up in wisdom spun goats' hair.

2 7 And the rulers brought onyx stones, and stones to be let, for the ephod, and for the breastplate;

28 And spice, and oil for the light, and for the anointing oil, and for the sweet incense.

29 The children of Israel brought a willing offering unto the Lord, every man and woman, whose heart made them willing to bring for all manner os work, which the Loud had commanded to be made, by the hand of Moses.

30 And Moses laid unto the children of Israel, See, the Lord hath called by name Bczaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Tudah;

31 And he hath biled him with the. Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner os workmanship;

32 And to devise curious works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass,

33 And in the cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of wood, to make any manner of cunning work.

34 And he hath put m his heart that he may teach, both he and Aholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan.

35 Them hath he filled with wisdom os heart, to work all manner of work os the engraver, and of the cunning workman, and of the embroiderer, m blue, ?.nd in purple, in Icarlct, and in fine linen, and of the weaver, even of them that do any work, and of those that devise cunning work.
