and their estimation.

16 And if a man shall sanctify unto the Lo R D somefart of a field of his possession, then thy estimation (hall be according to the seed thereof: an homer of barky fee&Jhali be -valued at fifty shekels of silver.

17 If he sanctify his field from the year of jubile, according to thy estimation it shall stand.

18 But if he san6tify his field after the jubile, then the priest ihall reckon unto him the money according to the years that remain, even unto the year of the jubile, and it (hall be abated from thy estimation.

19 And if he that sanctified the field will in any wise redeem it, then he ihall add the. fifth part of the money of thy estimation unto it, and it ihall be aisured to him.

20 And if he will not redeem the field, or if he have sold the field to another man, it ihall not be redeemed any more.

21 But the field when it goeth out in the jubile, ihall be holy unto the Lo ft D, .is a field devoted; the possession thereof Ihall be the priest's.

22 And isa man sanctify unto the Lor D a field which he hath bought, which is not of the fields of his possession;

23 Then the priest ihall reckon unto him the worth of thy estimation, even unto the year of the jubile: and he (hall give thine estimation in that day, as a holy thing unto the Lord.

14 In the year of the jubile the field (hall return unto him of whom it was bought, even to him to whom the possession of the land did belong.

25 And all thy estimation (hall be ac cording to the ihekei of the sanctuary twenty gerahs ihall be the (hekel.

26 Only the firstling of the beasts which mould be the Lor D's firstling, 11. man (hall sanctify it; whether it be ox or (heep: it is the Lord's.

27 And if it be of an unclean beast then lie ihall redeem it according t< thine estimation, and (hall add a nf'tl part of it thereto: or if it be not re deemed, then it (hall be sold according to thy estimation.

28 fl Notwithstanding no devotee thing that a man (hall devote unto the Lor D of all that he hath, both of man and beast, and of the field of his pofiei". sioa shall be sold or redeemed; every devoted thing is most holy unto the Lo R D .

29 None devoted, which (hall be devoted of men, (hall be redeemed; but (hall surely be put to death.

30 And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord's: it is holy unto the Lord.

31 And if a man will at all redeem Oh?ht of his tithes, he (hail add thereto the fifth part thereof.

32 ^[ And concerning the tithe of the herd, or of the stock, even of whatsoever passeth under the rod; the tenth (hall be holy unto the Lor n.

33 He (hall not search whether it be good or bad, neither (hall he change it: and if he change it at all, then both it and the change thereof (hall be holy; it (hall not be redeemed.

AND the Lord spake unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the tabernacle of the congregation,on the first dayof the second month, in the second year after they were come out of the land of Egypt, saying,

2 Take ye the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel, after their families, by the house of their fathers with the number of their names, every male by their polls;

3 From twenty years old and upward, all that are able to go forth to war in Israel: thou and Aaron (hall number them by their armies.

4 And with you there shall be a man of every tribe; every one head of the house of his fathers.

5 And these are the names of the men that (hall stand with you. Of the tribe of Reuben; Elizur the son of Shedeur.

44 These are those that were numbered, which Moles and Aaron numbered, and the princes of Israel, being twelve men s each one was for the house of his fathers.

45 So were all those that were numbered of the children of Israel, by the house of their fathers, irom twenty years old and- upward, all that were able to go forth to war in Israel;

46 Even all they that were numbered were six hundrea thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty.

47 fj But the Levites, after the tribe of their fathers, were not numbered among them.

48 For the Lord had spoken unto Moses, saying,

49 Only thou shalt not number the tribe of Levi, neither take the sum of them among the children of Israel:

50 But thou shalt appoint the Levites over the tabernacle of testimony, and over all the vessels thereof, and over all things that belong to it: they sliall bear the tabernacle, and all the vessels thereof; and they (hall minister unto it, and sliall encamp round about the tabernacle.

51 And when the tabernacle letteth forward, the Levites shall take it down: and when the tabernacle is to be pitched, the Levites sliall set it up: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.

52 And the children of Israel shall pitch their tents every man by his own camp, and every man by his own standard, throughout their hosts.

53 But tlie Levites sliall pitch round about the tabernacle of testimony; that there be no wrath upon the congregation of the children of Israel: and the Levites sliall keep the charge of the tabernacle of testimony.

54 And the children of Israel did according to all that the Lord commanded Moses, so did they.

CHAP. II.
The order of the tribes in thrir tents.

AND the Lord spake unto Moses
and unto Aaron, faying,
1 Every man of the children of Israel

_ 5 And those that do pitch next unto him shall be the tribe of Issachar: and Nethaneel the son of Zuar Jhall be captain of the children of Issachar.

6 And his host, and thole that were numbered thereof, ivere fifty and four thousand and sour hundred.

7 Then the tribe of Zebulun: and Eliab the son of Melon Jhall be captain of the children of Zebulun.

8 And his host, and those that were numbered thereof, ivere fifty and seven thousand and four hundred.

9 All that were numbered in the camp of Judah ivere an hundred thousand amf fourscore thousand and six thousand and four hundred, throughout their armies. These sliall first set forth.

10 On the south side Jhall he the standard of the camp os Reuben, according to their armies: and the captain of the children of Reuben Jhall be Elizur the lbn of Shedeur.

11 And his host, and those that were numbered thereof, ivere forty and six thousand and five hundred.

it And those which pitch by h\m Jhall be the tribe of Simeon: and the captain of the children of Simeon Jhall be Shelumiel the son of Zuiilhaddai.

13 And his host, and those that were numbered of them, ivere fifty and nine thousand and three hundred.

14 Then the tribe of Gad: and the captain of the sons of Gad/hall be Eliasaph the son of Reuel.

15 And his host, and those that were numbered of them, ivere forty and live thousand and six hundred and fifty.

16 All that were numbered in the campof Reuben, ivere anhundred thousand and fifty and one thousand and four hundred and fifty, throughout their armies. And they shall set forth in the (econd rank.

17 Then the tabernacle of the congregation sliall set forward with the camp of the Levites, in the midst of the camp: as they encamp, so sliall they set forward, every man in his place by their standards.

2 And these are the name* of the sons of Aaron 5 Nadab the firstborn, and Abihu, Kieazar, and Ithamar.

3 Thtle are the names of the sons of Aaron, the pi ieits which were anointed, whom he consecrated to ininilter in the priest's office.

4 And Nadab anil Abihu died before the Lord, when they offered strange sire before the Lord, in the wildernels of Sinai, and they had no children: and Eleazar and Ithamar ministered in the priest's ohice in the fight of Aaron their father.

5 qj And the Lord spake unto Mob, saying,

6 Bring the tribe of Levi near, and present them before Aaron the priest, that they may minister unto him.

7 And they shall keep his charge, and the charge of the whole congregation before the tabernacle of the congregation, to do the service of the tabernacle.

8 And they shall keep all the instruments of the tabernacle of the congregation, and the charge of the children of Israel, to do the service of the tabernacle.

9 And thou shalt give the Levites unto Aaron and to his ions: they a>-e wholly given unto him out of the children of Israel.

10 And thou slialt appoint Aaron and his sons, and they shall wait on their priest's office; anil the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.

11 Anil the Lo R D spake unto Moses, saying,

12 And I,behold, I have taken the Levites from among the children of Israel, instead of all the firstborn that ojiencth the matrix among the children of Israel: therefore the Levites shall be mine;

13 Because all the firstborn are mine i fir cm the day that I smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, I hallowed unto me all the fii itborn in Israel, both man and beast: mine (hall they be: I am the Lord.

15 Number the children ofLevi after • the house of their fathers, by their families: every male from a month old and upward (halt thou number them.

16 And Moses numbered them according to the word of the Lord, as he was commanded.

17 And these were the sons of Levi by their names; GerHion, and Kohath, and Merari.

18 And these arc the names, of the sons of Gerfhon by their families; Libni and Shimei.

19 And the sons of Kohath by their families; Amram, and Izehar, Hebron, and Uzziel.

zo And the sens of Merari by their families; Mahli, and Musiii. These are the families of the Levites, according to the house of their fathers.

21 Of Gerfhon was the family of the Libnites,and the familyof the Shimites: these are the families of the Gerstionites.

22Thosc thatwere numberedof them, according to the number of all the males, from" a month old and upward, even those that were numbered of them, ivere seven thousand and five hundred.

23 The families of the Gerstionites shall pitch behind the tabernacle westward.

24 And the chief os the house of the father of the Ger(honites/IW/4tf Eliafaph the son of Lael.

25 And the charge of the sons of Gerfhon in. the tabernacle of the congregation /hall be the tabernacle, and the tent, the covering thereof, and the hanging for the door of the tabernacle of the congregation,

26 And the hangings of the court, and the_ curtain for the door of the court, which is by the tabernacle and by the altar round about, and the cords of it, for all the service thereof.

27 And of Kohath 'was the family of the Amramites, and the family of the Izeharites, and the family of the Hebronites, and the family of the Uzzielites: these are the families of the Kohathites.

28 In the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, ivere eight thousand and six hundred, keeping the charge of the sanctuary.

29 The families of the sons of Kohath, shall pitch on the side of the tabernacle southward.

30 And the chief of the house of the fatlier of the. families of the Kohnthites /kail be Elizaphan. the son of Uzziel.

31 Aud their charge /kail be the ark,

and the table, and the candlestick, am the altars, and the vessels of the sanctu ary wherewith they minister, and th hanging, and all the servic* thereof.

32 And Eleazar the son of Aaron th priest /hall be chief over the chief of tin Levites, and have the oversight of then that keep the charge of the sanctuary.

33 Os Merari was the family os th Mahlites, and the family of the Mush ites: these arc the families of Merari.

34 And those that were numbered o them, according to the number of all th males, from a month old and upward ivere six thousand and two hundred.

35 And the chief of the house of th father of the families of Merari tuas Zu riel the son of Abihail: these shall pitel on the fide of the tabernacle northward

36 And under the custody and chargi of the sons of Merari /hall be the board of the tabernacle, and the bars thereof and the pillars thereof, and the socket thereof, and all the vessels thereof, an< all that serveth thereto,

37 And the pillars of the courf rouni about, and their sockets, and their pins and their cords.

38 But those that encamp before th tabernacle toward the east, even besor the tabernacle of the congregation east wari\,/haJI be Moses, and Aaron and hi sons, keeping the charge of the sanctm ry, for the charge os the children of II rael: and the stranger that cometh nig! shalt be put to death.

39 All that were numbered of the Le vites, which Moses and Aaron number ed^it the commandment of the Lor n throughout their families, all the males from a month old and upward, tver twenty and two thousand.

40 fl And the Lord (aid unto Moses Number all the firstborn of the male* d the children of Israel, from a month oil and upward, and take the number 0 their names.

41 And thou shalt take the Levites so me (I am the Lord) instead of all th firstborn among the children of Israel and the cattle of the Levites instead a all the firstlings among the cattle of ;li children of Israel.
