PLEAD my cause, O Lord, with them that strive with me: fight against them that fight against me.

* Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for mine help.

3 Draw out also the spear, and stop the ixaj against them that persecute me: say unto my soul, I am thy salvation.

4- Let them be confounded and put to shame that seek after my soul: let them be turned back and brought to confusion that devise my hurt.

TH E transgression of the wicked faith within my heart, that there is no fear of God before his eyes

2 For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, until his iniquity be found to be hateful.

3 The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: he hath left off to be wife, and to do good.

4 He deviseth mischief upon his bed; he setteth himself in a way that is not good; he abhorretb not evil.

5 Thy mercy. O Lor D, /Vin the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.

6 Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgements are a great deep: O Lord, thou preserved rnaa and beast.

7 How excellent is thy lovingkindnese, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.

8 They (hall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; Ind thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.

9 For with thee is the fountain of rife: in thy light shall we sec light.

FRET not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the woikers of iniquity.

3 Trull in the Lou D, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

4 Delight thyself also in the Lord-, and he (hall give thee tho desires of thine heart.

5 Commit thy way unto the Lor D; trust also iu him; and he (hall bring it to pass.

19 They sliall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they (hall be satisfied.

21 The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous lheweth mercy, and giveth.

35 I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree.

36 Yet lie passed away, and, lo, he nuai not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found.

37 Maik the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end al that man is peace.

38 But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off. x

Ii Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O Lord: let thy lovingkindnefs and thy truth continually preserve me.

ii For innumerable evils have compassed me about: mine iniquities have taken hold upon me, so that I am not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of mine head: therefore my heart faileth me.

13 Be pleased, O Lo R D , to deliver me: O Lor D, make haste to help me.

i4Letthem be ashamed andconfounded together that seek after nay soul to destroy it; let them be driven backward and put to shame that with me evil.

15 Let them be desolate for a reward of their shame, that say unto me, Aha, aha.

16 Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: let such as love thy salvation say continually, The Lo R D be magnified.

17 But I am poor and needy; yet the Lor D thinketh upon me: thou art my help and my deliverer; make no tarrying, O my God.

BLE S S E D is he that confidereth the poor: the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble.

2 The Lord will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he sliall be blessed upon the earth -. and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies.

3 The Lord will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness.

41 said, Lo R D, be merciful unto me. heal my soul: for I have sinned againlt thee.

5 Mine enemies speak evil of me, When shall he die, and his flame perish 1

6 And if he come to fee me, he speaketh vanity, his heart gathereth iniquity to itself: when he goeth abroad, he telleth it.

7 All that hate me whisper together against me; against me do they devise my hurt.

8 An evil diseases they, cleaveth W unto him: and now that he lieth he (hall rise up no more.

AS the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.

2 My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God; when (hall I come and appear before God?

4 When I remember these things, I pour out my soul in me: for I had gone with the multitude, I went with them to the house of God, with the voice of ipy and praise, with the multitude that Kept holyday.

5 Why art thou east down, O my soul? zndivhy art thou disquieted in me ? hope thou in God: for I inall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.
