10 And Azariah the chief priest'of the house of Zadok answered him, and laid. Since the feople began to bring the offerings into the house of the Lord, we have had enough to eat, and have left plenty: for the LoRD hath blefled his people.; and that' which is left is this great store. ■ ■' •

A KI'EK these things.and the establish, ment thereof, Sennacherib king of Assyria came, and entered into Judih> and encamped against the'fenced cities, and thought to win them for himself,

8 With him is an arm of flesh; but with us it the Lord our God, to help us, and to fight our battles. And the people rested themselves upon the words of Hezekiah king of Judab.

9 After this did Sennacherib king of Assyria send his servants to Jerusalem, (but Ire himself laid siege against Ladiifli,

19 And they (pake against the1 God of Jerusalem, as against the gods of the people of the earth, luhich tvere the work of the hands of man. ■

•20 And for this cause Hezekiah the king, and the prophet Isaiah the son os Amoz, prayed and cried to heaven.

Xxxii. Hezekiah's sickness ami death.

-1* Thus the Lord saved Hezekiah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem from the hand of Sennachcrrb the king of Assyria, and from the hand of all other, arits guided them on every fide.

16 Notwithstanding Hezekiah humbled -himself for the pride of his heait, both he and the inhabitants of Jerulalem, so that the wrath of the Lok n came not upon them in the days of Hezekiah.

ii And Hezekiah had exceedingmuch riches and honour: and he made himself treasuries for silver, and for gold, and for precious stones, and for spices, and for shields, and for all manner-of pleasant jewels;

18 Storehouses allbfdr the increase of corn* and wine, and oil; and stalls for all manner of beasts, and cores for flocks.

29 Moreover he provided him cities, and'posl'eslions of flocks- and herds in abundance: for CJod had given hint lUbftahce verv'much.

■50 This lame Hezekiah also stopped the upper water course of Gihon, and brought it straight down to the welt side of-the city of "David. And Hezekiah prospered in all his works.

31 Howbeit in the business of the ambassadors-of the princes of Babylon, who sent unto him t > enquire of the wonder that vrardone in the land, God left him; to try hiirt, that he might know all that ivas in his heart.

31 IT Now the rest of the acts of Hezekiah, and his goodness, behold, they ore written in the vision of Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, and in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.

33 And Hezekiah slept with hisfathers, and they buried him in the chiefest of the sepulchres of the sons of David: and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem did him honour at his death. And ManafTeb his son reigned in his stead.

MOREOVER Josiah kept a passover unto the Lord in Jerusalem:

and -they killed the passover on the fourteenth day of the first month.

2 And he set the priests in their charges, and encouraged them to the service of the house of the Lord, . jAndsaiduntotheLevitesthattaught all Israel,which wereholy unto the Lord, Put the holy ark in the house which Solomon the Ion. of David king of Israel did build; it /hall not be a burden upon your ilioalders: serve now the Lord your God and his people Israel,

4 And prepare your/elves by the-houses of your fathers, after your courses, according to the writing of David king of Israel, and according to the writing of Solomon his sen. i •:

10 So the service was prepared, and the priests stood in their .place, and the Levites in their courses, according to the king's commandment.

11 And they killed the passover, and the priests sprinkled the blood from their hands, and the Levites stayed them.

1a And they removed the burnt offer-, ings, that they might give according t» the divisions of the families of the people, to offer unto the Lord, as it is written \n the book of Moses. And so did they with the oxen.

13 And they roasted the passover with fire according to the ordinance: but the other holy offerings, sod they in pots, and in caldrons, and in pans, and divided
