Proviso.

Public Act.

the said Parishes or part of the same, according to the Laws now in force, and shall thereafter in virtue of the said Procès Verbal erect the said Bridge within one year, to be computed from the date of the homologation of the said Procès Verbal, then and in such case the said Paschal Persilier dit Lachapelle and François Quenneville, their heirs or legal representatives shall not avail themselves of this Act for the purpose of erecting the said Bridge and levying the said rates or toll: Provided always, that if such Petition as above mentioned, be not made and presented to the Grand Voyer or to his Deputy as aforesaid, within three months, and a copy thereof served upon the said Paschal Persillier dit Lachapelle and François Quenneville, their heirs or legal representatives within three months after such notification as aforesaid, it shall be forthwith after the expiration of the said three months, be lawful for the said Paschal Persillier dit La Chapelle and François Quenneville their heirs or legal representatives, to avail themselves of this Act, and to proceed immediately thereafter to the erection and construction of the said Bridge and Toll House.

XVIII. And be it further enacted by the authority aforesaid, that this Act shall be deemed a public Act, and shall be judicially taken notice of as such, by all Judges, Justices of the Peace and all other persons whomsoever, without being specially pleaded.

C. 30. compter de la date de l'homologation du dit Procès Verbal, alors et dans tel cas les dits Paschal Persilier dit Lachapelle et François Quenneville, leurs hoirs ou leurs représentants légaux, ne pourront se prévaloir de cet Acte, aux fins d'ériger le dit Pont et prélever les dits Taux de péage. Pourvû toujours, que si telle requête, tel que ci-dessus mentionné, n'est pas faite et présentée comme susdit au Grand Voyer, ou à son Député dans trois mois, et si copie d'icelle n'est pas signifiée aux dits Paschal Persilier dit Lachapelle, et François Quenneville, leurs hoirs ou leurs représentants légaux, dans trois mois après la dite notification, il sera loisible, sitôt après l'expiration des dits trois mois, aux dits Paschal Persilier dit Lachapelle et François Quenneville, leurs hoirs ou leurs représentants légaux, de se prévaloir de cet Acte, et de procéder sitôt après à ériger et construire le dit Pont et la dite maison de péage.

Proviso.

XVIII. Et qu'il soit de plus statué par l'autorité susdite, que cet Acte sera jugé Acte public. être un Acte public, et comme tel, il en sera judiciairement pris connaissance par tous Juges, Juges de Paix et autres personnes quelconques, sans qu'il soit spécialement plaidé.
