John xii. 12. p. 255. 19 30 Luke Ye shall find a colt tied, whereon yet never man
Loose him, and bring him hither. 11 2
Mar. Go your way into the village over against you'; and - Jas soon as ye be entered into it,
Ye shall find a colt tied, whereon never man
Loose him, and bring him.
Ye shall find an ass tied, and a colt with her;
Loose them, and bring them unto me. Mat. And if any man say ought unto you, ye shall say,
The Lord hath need of them; and straightway
he will send them. Mar. And if any man say unto you, Why do ye this? say ye
That the Lord hath need of him; and straight
way he will send him hither. 31 Lukt And if any man ask you, Why do ye loose him. thus
-shall ye say unto him,
Because the Lord hath need of him.
Jwas spoken by the prophet, saying, Tell ye the
fole of an ass. See John xii. 15. Mat. And the disciples went,
And did as Jesus commanded them. Mar. And they went their way, and found the colt tied by the door without, in a place where two ways met;
And they loose him. And certain of them that stood there, said unto them, What do ye loosing the colt? And they said unto them even as Jea
sus had commanded ; and they let them go. 32 Luke And they that were sent, went their way, and found

And as they were loosing the colt, the owners thereof said unto them, Why loose ye the colt?
And they said, The Lord hath need of him. Mar. and they brought the colt to Jesus, and cast

multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples. And he answered and said unto them, I tell you, that if these should hold their
peace, the stones would immediately cry out. 14 John And Jesus, when he had found a young ass, sat
thereon; as it is written, Fear not, daughter of Sion; behold thy King cometh, sitting on an ass's colt. These things understood not his disciples at the first; but when Jesus was glorified, then remembered they that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things unto him.' The people therefore that was with him when he called Lazarus out of lois grave, and raised him from the dead, bare frecard. For this cause the people also met him, for that they heard that he had done this mi(racle. The Pharisees therefore said among themselves, Perceive ye how ye prevail no
thing? behold the world is gone after him. Luke And when he was come near, he beheld the

which thou cursedst, is withered away. Mat. And when the disciples saw it, (viz. next day) they
marvelled, saying, How soon is the fig-tree wither,
Ye shall not only do this which is done to

against any; that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

Luke And he taught daily in the temple. But the

Mar. And say unto him, By what authority doest
And who gave thee this authority to do
these things? Luke And spake unto him, saying, Tell us by what Jauthority doest thou these things?
Or who is he that gave thee thisauthority?
And answer me.
And answer me, and I will tell you by
what authority I do these things. Mat. (And Jesus answered and said unto them, I also will ask you one thing,
Which if ye tell me, I in likewise will tell
you by what authority I do these things? Mat. The baptism of John, whence was it? from
