4 Und er antwortete, und sprach: Es stehet geschrieben: Der Mensch lebet nicht vom Brod allein; sondern von einem jeglichen Worte, das durch den Mund Gottes gehet. 5 Da führete ihn der Teufel mit sich in die heilige Stadt, und stellete ihn auf Sie Zinne des Tempels, € Und sprach zu ihm: Bist du Gottes Sohn, so laß dich hinab; denn es stehet geschrieben: Er wird seinen Engeln über dir Befehl thun, und sie werden dich auf den Händen tragen, auf daß du deinen Fuß nicht an einen Stein stoßest. 7 Da sprach Jesus zu ihm: Wiederum stehet auch geschrieben: Du sollst Gott, deinen Herrn, nicht versuchen. 8 Wiederum führete ihn der Teufel mit sich auf einen sehr hohen Berg, und zeigte ihm alle Reiche der Welt und ihre Herrlichkeit; 9 Und sprach zu ihm: Dies alles will ich dir geben, so du niederfällst, und mich anbetest. 10 Da sprach Jesus zu ihm: Hebe dich weg von mir, Satan; denn es stehet geschrieben: Du sollst anbeten Gott, deinen Herrn, und ihm allein dienen. 11 Da verließ ihn der Teufel; und fiche, da traten die Engel zu ihm, und dieneten ihm. 12 Da nun Jesus hörete, daß J0hannes überantwortet war, zog er in das galiläische Land; 13 Und verlich die Stadt Nazareth, kam und wohnete zu Capernaum, die da liegt am Meere, an den Grenzen Zabulon und Nephthalim, 14 Auf daß erfüllet würde, das da gefagt ist durch den Propheten Jesaia, ber da spricht: 15 Das Land Zabulon, und das Land Nephthalim, am Wege des Meers, jen feit des Jordans, und die heidnische Galiläa, 4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. 5 Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple, 6 And saith unto him, If thou bo the Son of God, cast thyself down, for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. 7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. 8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; 9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thor wilt fall down and worship me. 10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. 11 Then the devil leaveth him, and behold, angels came and min. istered unto him. 12 Now when Jesus had heard that John was cast into prison, he departed into Galilee; 13 And leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the sea-coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim; 14 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, 15 The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles: 16 Das Volk, das in Finsterniß saß, 16 The people which sat in darkhat ein großes Licht gesehen, und die ness, saw great light; and to them da saßen am Ort und Schatten des which sat in the region and shaTodes, denen ist ein Licht aufgegangen. | dow of death, light is sprung up. 17 Von der Zeit an fing Jesus an u predigen, und zu sagen: Thut Buße, das Himmelreich ist nahe herbey gefommen. 18 A18 nun Jesus an dem galiläischen Meere ging, sah er zween Brüder, Simon, der da heißt Petrus, und Andreas, seinen Bruder; die warfen ihre Netze in das Meer, denn sie waren Fischer. 19 Und er sprach zu ihnen: Folget mir nach; ich will euch zu Menschenfischern machen. 20 Bald verließen sie ihre Netze, und folgten ihm nach. 21 Und da er von dannen weiter ging, fah er zween andere Brüder, Jafobum, den Sohn Zebedai, und Johannem, seinen Bruder, im Schiffe, mit ihrem Vater Zebedão, daß sie ihre Netze flickten; und er rief Re. 22 Bald verließen sie das Schiff und ihren Vater, und folgten ihm nach. 17 From that time Jesus hega to preach, and to say, Repent; for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. 18 ¶ And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishers. 19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fish. ers of men. 20 And they straightway left their nets, and followed him. 21 And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending their nets: and he called them. 22 And they immediately left the ship, and their father, and followed him. 23 Und Jesus ging umher im ganzen galiläischen Lande, lehrete in ihren Schulen, und predigte das Evangeli-gogues, um von dem Reiche, und heilete allerleh Seuche und Krankheit im Volk. 24 Und sein Gerücht erscholl in das ganze Syrienland. Und sie brachten zu ihm allerley Kranke, mit mancherich Seuchen und Quaal behaftet, die Besessenen, die Mondsüchtigen, und die Gichtbrüchigen; und er machte sie alle gesund. 25 Und es folgete ihm nach viel Volks aus Galiläa, aus den zehn Städten, von Jerusalem, aus dem jüdischen Lande, und von jenseit des Jordans. 23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synaand preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness, and all manner of disease among the people. 24 And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatic, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them. 25 And there followed him great multitudes of people from Galilee, and from Decapolis, and from Jerusalem, and from Judea, and from beyond Jordan. 3 Selly find, die da geistlich arm And; denn das Himmelreich ist ihr. 4 Selig sind, die da Leid tragen ;denn Sie sollen getröstet werden. 5 Selig sind die Sanftmüthigen ; denn sie werden das Erdreich besitzen. 6 Selig sind, die da hungert und bürstet nach der Gerechtigkeit; denn he sollen satt werden. 7 Selig sind die Barmherzigen; denn slie werden Barmherzigkeit erlangen. 8 Eelig sind. Die reines Herzens sind; denn sie werden Gott schauen. 9 Selig sind die Friedfertigen; denn ste werden Gottes Kinder heißen. 10 Eclig sind, die um Gerechtigkeit willen verfolgt werden; denn das Himmelreich ist ihr. 11 Selig fehd ihr, wenn euch die Menschen um meinet willen schmähen und verfolgen, und reden allerley Ulebels wider euch, so sie daran lügen 12 Send fröhlich und getrost, es wird euch im Himmel wohl belohuct werden. Denn also haben sie verfolget die Propheten, die vor euch gewesen sind. 13 Ihr feud das Salz der Erde. Wo nun das Salz dumm wird, womit soll man fatzen? Es ist zu nichts hinfort nütze, denn daß man es hinaus schütte, und lasse es die Leute zertreten. 14 Ihr sehd das Licht der Welt. Es mag die Stadt, die auf einem Berge liegt, nicht verborgen seyn. 15 Man zündet auch nicht ein Licht an, und setzt es unter einen Scheffel; sondern auf einen Leuchter. so leuchtet es denen allen, die im Hause sind 16 Also lasset euer Licht leuchten vor den Leuten, daß sie eure gute Werke sehen, und euren Vater im Himmel breifen. 17 Ihr sollt nicht wähnen, daß ich gekommen bin, das Gesetz oder die Propheten aufzulösen Ich bin nicht gekommen aufzulösen, sondern zu erfüllen. 18 Denn ich sage euch wahrlich: Bis daß Himmel und Erde ergehe, wird 3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of hea ven. 4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. 5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. 6 Blessed are they which do hur. ger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. 7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. 8 Blessed are the pure in heart. for they shall see God. 9 Blessed are the peace-makers: for they shall be called the children of God. 10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11 Blessed are ye when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. 12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. 13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. 14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. 15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. 17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or nicht zergehen ter kleinste Buchstabe, noch ein Titel vom Gesetze, bis daß es alles geschehe. 19 Wer nun eines von diesen fleinsten Geboten auflöset, und lchret die Leute also, der wird der Kleinste heißen im Himmelreiche; wer es aber thut und lchret, der wird groß heißen im Himmelreich. 20 Denn ich sage euch: Es sch denn eure Gerechtigkeit besser, denn der Schriftgelehrten und Pharisäer, fo werdet ihr nicht in das Himmelreich) fommen. 21 Ihr habt gehört, daß zu den Alten gefagt ist: Du sollst nicht tödten; wer aber tödtet, der soll des Gerichts schuldig seyn. 22 Jch aber fage euch: Wer mit seinem Bruder zürnet, der ist des Gerichts schuldig; wer aber zu seinem Bruder sagt: Racha, der ist des Raths schulDig; wer aber fagt: Du Narr, der ist des höllischen Feuers schuldig. 23 Darum, wenn du deine Gabe auf dem Altare opferst, und wirst allda eingedenk, daß dein Bruder etwas wider dich habe; 24 So laß allda vor dem Altare deine Gabe, und gehe zuvor hin, und versöhne dich mit deinem Bruder; und alsdann komm, und opfere deine Gabe. 25 Sch willfertig deinem Widersacher bald, dieweil du noch bey ihm auf dem Wege bist, auf daß dich der Widersacher nicht dermalcins überantworte dem Richter, und der Richter überantworte dich dem Diener, und werdest in den Kerker geworfen. 26 Ich sage dir: Wahrlich, du wirst nicht von dannen herauskommen, bis du auch den letzten Heller bezahlest. 27 Ihr habt gehöret, daß zu den Alten gesagt ist: Du sollst nicht chebrechen. 28 Ich aber sage euch: Wer ein Weib infleht, ihre zu begehren, der hat schon one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. shall 19 Whosoever therefore break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do, and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20. For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven. 21 ¶ Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill, shall be in danger of the judg ment: 22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause, shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell-fire. 23 Therefore, if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath aught against thee, 24 Leave there thy gift before. the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift. 25 Agree with thine adversary quickly, while thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into pri son. 26 Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou hast paid the uttermost farthing. 27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: 28 But I say unto you, That who. soever looketh on a woman to lust mit ihr die Ehe gebrochen in seinem | after her, hath committed adultery 30 Aergert dich deine rechte Hand; so haue sie ab, und wirf sie von dir. Es ist dir besser, daß eines deiner Glieder verderbe, und nicht der ganze Leib in die Hölle geworfen werde. 31 Es ist auch gesagt: wer sich von feinem Weibe scheidet, der soll ihr geben einen Scheidebrief. 32 Jaber fage euch: Wer sich von seinem Beibe scheidet, (e8 seh denn um Ehebruch der macht, daß sie die Ehe bricht; und wer eine Abgeschiedene freyet, der bricht die Ehe. 33 Ihr habt weiter gehöret, daß zu den Alten gesagt ist: Du sollst leinen falschen Eid thun, und sollst Gort deinen Eid halten. 34 Ich aber fage euch: daß ihr allerdings nicht schwören sollt; weder bey dem Himmel, denn er ist Gottes Stuhl; 35 Noch bey der Erde. denn le ist seiner Füße Schemel; noch bey Jerufalem, denn sie ist eines großen Königs Stadt. 36 Auch sollst du nicht bey deinem Haupte schwören: denn du vermagft nicht, ein einiges Haar weiß oder schwarz zu machen. 37 Eure Rede aber sey: Ja, ja; nein, nein was drüber ist, das ist bom llebel. 38 Ihr habt gehöret, daß dc gesagt ist: Auge um Auge, Zahn um Zahn. 39 Ich aber sage euch, daß ihr nicht widerstreben sollt dem llebel; sondern so dir jemand einen Streich gibt auf deinen rechten Backen, dem biete den andern auch dar. 40 Und so jemand mit dir rechten with her already in his heart. 29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. 30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. 31 It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement. 32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication causeth her to commit adultery and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced, committeth adultery. 33 Again, ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths: 34 But I say unto you, Swear no! at all: neither by heaven; for it is God's throne: 35 Ncr by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King: 36 Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black. 37 But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil. 38 Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth. 39 But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. 40 And if any man will sue thee |
