* MAT. xiii. 38, 47: The field is the world, the good seed are the children of the kingdom: but the tares are the children of the wicked one. The kingdom of heaven is like unto a net that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind.

In MARK, xii, 17, and LUKE, XX. 25, are words nearly similar. MAT. xvii. 25, 27: What thinkest thou, Simon? of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of strangers? Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up, and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee. Roм. xiii. 7: Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due, custom, to whom custom, fear to whom fear, honour to whom honour.
