PARAPHRASĘ. may make it his chief endeavour to act in such a manner as may tend to the honour and glory of his Almighty Maker : and that we and his fubjects in general, seriously reflecting that thou the Sovereign of the uni. verse haft conferred upon him the authority which he enjoys, may through a religious principle, and not merely for wraths fake, or being afraid of the power, (Rom. xiii. 3.) pay him all due service and respect," and yield a ready obedience to all his commands, when they shall be ip the Lord, (Epb. vi. 1.) and not inconfiftent with any fuperior duty; and may do this for thy fake, who in thy holy word hait inttructed us, (Rom. xii. 2.'. I acknowledge a baptifin instituted by Chrift, the remission of lins, to be administered in one form of words, and not to be repeated I expect that all the dead snail arise, and that good men shall then be admitted to an everlasting itate of glory.
